Robotics 3D printing FAQ

What robotics parts does TAKT 3D print?+
Custom end effectors, gripper fingers, sensor mounts (camera, LiDAR, IMU), frame sections, cable guides, and lightweight structural brackets. We work with automation integrators, research labs, and robotics startups iterating on hardware platforms.
Which materials do you use for end effectors and structural parts?+
PA6-CF30 is the most common pick for stiff, low-warp brackets and frames. PETG for lower-load housings and enclosures. TPU for soft-durometer gripper pads, bumpers, and cable strain relief. Material selection is part of the DFM review on every quote.
Can you add heat-set threaded inserts for repeated assembly?+
Yes. We install brass heat-set inserts (M2 through M6) for parts that will be assembled and disassembled repeatedly. Specify thread size and location in your quote notes and we will spec pocket geometry during DFM review.
Do you support low-volume deployment runs?+
Yes — no MOQs. Most customers order 1–50 units per SKU for deployed fleet hardware, with repeat batches as designs iterate. Multi-SKU runs share the same build plate, so color or geometry variants ship without retooling.
